The game was played on Sunday, September 10, and was scheduled to begin at 4:25 PM. ET. The Packers defeated the Seahawks by a score of 17-9.

Seahawks Analysis
The Seahawks won the NFC West last season but lost to the Atlanta Falcons in the playoffs. After the loss, there were many wondering if Seattle’s window to win another Super Bowl was finally closed, which means the Seahawks will be trying to prove their doubters wrong this season.
Seattle also had injuries to key players last year, and now that they are healthy, they expect to be one of the best teams in the league.
Both teams have a recent history and there isn’t a lot of love lost between them so expect a very physical game.

Packers Analysis
The Packers are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year, and will have one of the best offenses in the NFL again this year. Aaron Rodgers has a few new weapons to throw to like Martellus Bennet, who won the Super Bowl with the Patriots last year.
Defense has been the biggest issue for the Packers in recent years, and the team tried addressing the issue in the offseason so we will find out if they did enough to address the issue.
After a slow start to last season, expect the Packers to play with a sense of urgency because they will like to avoid having to battle back to the top of the NFC North like they did last year.

Predictions
The Packers are favored to win at -3. This is going to be one of the best games of opening weekend because of the animosity both teams have. However, the Seahawks have struggled on the road against good teams in recent years, so I expect the Packers to win and cover the spread.
