In Week 10 of the NFL season two unexpected playoff contenders will meet in Buffalo this week when the New Orleans Saints take on the Buffalo Bills at New Era Field. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 PM. ET.

New Orleans Saints 2018 Playoff Odds
The Saints were expected to finish third at best in the NFC South, but they apparently didn’t get the memo as they are currently sitting alone at the top of the division. New Orleans has been successful this season doing something they haven’t done well in recent years, play solid defense. The Saints’ defense is allowing 20.7 points per game this season, which is 12th in the league.

On offense, they haven’t skipped a beat despite trading Brandin Cooks in the offseason. Drew Brees continues to shatter records with their offense averaging 27.3 points per game, which is 6th in the league.

What makes what the Saints have done this year so special is the team was written off after a 0-2 start to the season. However, they didn’t stay down too long and have reeled off six straight wins, and are tied with the Los Angeles Rams for the second best record in the NFC.

Buffalo Bills Week 10 Prediction
Like the Saints, the Bills weren’t given much of a chance this season, especially after trading Sammy Watkins to the Rams earlier in the season. Buffalo not only managed to win games, they defeated some decent team along the way, thanks to their stingy defense and an offense that doesn’t turn the ball over too much.

Buffalo’s defense is allowing 18.6 points per game, which is the sixth best average in the league, and their offense is averaging 21.8 points, which is 16th in the league.

The Bills find themselves one game behind the New England Patriots in the AFC East, and put the rest of the league on notice at the trade deadline, acquiring wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin from the Carolina Panthers.

Benjamin didn’t play in their loss last week because he didn’t get a chance to practice with the team. Expect to see a lot of him against New Orleans on Sunday.

The Saints are favored to win the game by 2 points. The over/under on total points scored is not yet available. The Saints offense is tough to slow down, but the Buffalo defense should be up to the task. Take Buffalo +2.
