David Johnson thinks the Arizona Cardinals have a shot at Super Bowl 2020? What have bettors decided? Find out below.
The Arizona Cardinals had one of the most interesting offseasons in the league. The team decided to get rid of last year’s first round pick Josh Rosen. Rosen was traded to the Miami Dolphins. They brought in veterans like Terrell Suggs. T Sizzle is coming off the worst season in his 16-year career. Also, the Cards used the first overall pick on former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, whom some critics believe is too small to succeed in the league.
Despite what the critics think, running back David Johnson believes Murray is going to be great and the Cardinals will be back in the playoffs very soon.
“He’s going to be great,” Johnson said of Murray. “It’s going to be scary for D-linemen. I remember I was just talking to Chandler [Jones], he has to kind of hesitate when he chases [Murray] down.”
Johnson also believes that the people who doubt Murray do not know what they are talking about.
David Johnson Ready for 2020 Super Bowl
“People are really underestimating his ability to throw,” Johnson said. “He can throw dimes and he can throw the ball down the field, he’s been throwing it deep to Christian [Kirk], to those guys in the OTAs… these defenses are going to have to definitely practice against a scrambler like him.”
Surprisingly, Johnson also believes that Rosen will have a lot of success in Miami.
“I definitely feel bad for Josh, what happened to him, the circumstances he was put in,” Johnson said. “I think Rosen’s going to end up being one of the most dominant quarterbacks in this league.”
David Johnson might be right about Rosen succeeding in Miami, but the second-year player will face some competition for the starting job from Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was brought in after spending the last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
