Now that Super Bowl 2022 is in the past, we look ahead to Super Bowl 2023 preview. New Houston Texans head coach Lovie Smith wants the team to resolve the Deshaun Watson situation as quickly as possible. Super Bowl 57 will be Sunday, February 12th, 2023. The game will take place at State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona.
The Pro Bowl quarterback requested a trade in the previous offseason. Also, was hit with several sexual assault lawsuits, which made trading him to another team more difficult. He sat out the entire 2021 season, but according to general manager Nick Caserio, Watson is “more than likely” going to be on another team prior to the start of next year.
In a recent interview, Smith said he would like the situation with the quarterback to be resolved soon.

“As soon as possible. I’m not running away from the question. But as soon as possible,” Smith said. “There are things that need to be taken care of before the football part comes into play. We’re patient, we’ve waited an entire year and I just feel like this offseason, it’ll come to an end and we’ll get it solved and it’ll be good for both parties, whatever that might be.
“There’s no other answer to give right now except for that one, and we’re going to try to get it resolved as soon as we possibly can. But we don’t play tomorrow. We have a little bit of time, and we’ll get it done.”
The Texans finished third in the AFC South with a 4-13 record, which prompted the team to fire head coach David Culley after one season. The 63-year-old Smith, who was the team’s defensive coordinator last season, was hired to replace him.
The 2005 NFL Coach of the year has an 89-87 record as the head coach of the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
