Attending Super Bowl 2016

The opportunity to attend the Super Bowl in any year is an exciting proposition, but 2016 will be even greater as it will be the 50th playing of this world-famous game. Super Bowl 50 is going to be played at the new home of the San Francisco 49ers, Levi’s Stadium. The stadium isn’t actually in San Francisco, but rather in Santa Clara, which is a short drive to the south. Whether you have been to plenty of Super Bowls or this would be your first one, the Bay Area is always a great place to visit.

Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 2016 will be played on February 7th, 2016. Obtaining tickets to this huge game can be difficult, especially when the date draws closer and the participants are determined. Geography has a lot to do with the availability (and cost) of the tickets. For example, if the 49ers, or even the Raiders, were to advance to the Super Bowl, local interest would certainly drive ticket prices through the roof.

For those who have never visited the Bay Area, traveling to Super Bowl 2016 is a great opportunity to see the biggest sporting event of the year and tour an amazing region at the same time. There is no lack of tourist activities in and around San Francisco, including visiting Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. If possible, plan your trip for a whole week so you can soak up the Bay Area atmosphere beyond just going to the game. No matter which teams end up playing in Super Bowl 2016, fans in attendance are sure to have a memorable experience.
