The Buffalo Bills finished the 2021 season with an 11-6 record, which was good enough to win the AFC East title, but they fell short of their Super Bowl hopes, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in one of the best playoff games in league history.
With most of the team returning this season the Bills are hoping to make it to the Super Bowl this season and Vegas seems to agree with them, with the Bills’ Super Bowl 2023 odds set at +800, which is the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl this season.
Buffalo had one of the best defenses in the league last season. And they held opponents to the fewest points, giving up 17 points per game. They strengthened their defense with the additions of former Florida cornerback Kaiir Elam and Baylor linebacker Terrel Bernard. Who were selected in the first and third rounds of the NFL draft respectively.
The Bills were also great offensively last season, with quarterback Josh Allen leading the way. Even though they had a good running game, they relied a lot on Allen’s scrambling skills. To avoid injury to their star quarterback, they bolstered their backfield by selecting former Georgia running. Back James Cook in the second round of the draft and will use him in tandem with Devin Singletary. Who rushed for 870 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
Buffalo Bills Season Preview
Their offensive line was an issue last season, with Allen getting sacked 26 times. They didn’t make any major moves in the offseason to upgrade their line, but they drafted former. Virginia Tech tackle Luke Tenuta to give them some depth.
The Bills have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. And should be able to win the AFC East title once again. With the Kansas City Chiefs losing one of their best players in the offseason. Don’t be surprised to see the bills win the conference title this season.
