This week in TNF we have the Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Rams. After suffering an embarrassing home loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Minnesota Vikings will hit the road. This is to take on the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are undefeated after three games, on Thursday Night Football. Also, the game will take place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Kick off is on Thursday, September 27. It is scheduled to begin at 8:20 PM. ET.
Minnesota Vikings Analysis: The Vikings haven’t won a game since their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. They followed up the win with a tie against the Green Bay Packers. Also, a loss to the Bills in their last game. They are now 1.5 games behind the surprising Chicago Bears and they can’t afford another loss on Thursday if they are serious about contending in the NFC.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins, who signed with the team in the offseason hasn’t looked like the man they expected to carry them to the Super Bowl. Cousins didn’t do a great job protecting the ball on Sunday, turning the ball over three times, two of which was in Minnesota’s territory, and resulted in easy points for the Bills.
The Vikings also didn‘t do a great job executing their game plan and gave up on running the ball after the first quarter. The Vikings finished with 14 rushing yards on six carries.
The team will need to do a better job on offense if they don’t want to get blown out by the Rams.
Los Angeles Rams Analysis: The Rams came into this season with high expectations after one of the busiest offseasons in team history. Through three games, the star-studded team has looked like one of the best teams in the league.
Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Rams Betting
The Rams offense has been very productive this season and the team scored over 30 points in a game for the third consecutive week. Jared Goff and Todd Gurley have done their part, and are putting up very good numbers so far.
The defense has also played well so far. They have given up more than 20 points once. With the Vikings expected to be one of their biggest challengers this year, the Rams would love to make a statement in this game and separate themselves from the rest of the pack. As seen in our LA Rams preview, the Rams are contenders.
After watching the Bills make life miserable for Cousins. Expect to see the Rams get aggressive on defense and try to force Cousins into another turnover-filled day.
In conclusion, the Rams are favored to win this game by 6.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 49. What does this mean for the Los Angeles Rams?
Los Angeles looks like the better team and they have played very well on both sides of the ball. They will go after the quarterback early in this game and disrupt the Vikings offense, which should lead to an easy win.
