The Dallas Cowboys Elliott is livid about the Cowboys loss. The Dallas Cowboys relinquished the NFC East lead to the Philadelphia Eagles when they lost to their division rivals on Sunday afternoon, and are now in danger of missing out on the playoffs if the Eagles defeat the New York Giants next week.

After the game, team owner Jerry Jones expressed his disappointment with the team’s performance. What does this Cowboys loss mean?

“When you get in this spot, you give yourself a chance to be real disappointed. We are,” Jones said. “The fact that we didn’t get any [touchdowns], the fact the game turned out the way it did, they played well. Not a lot to say about anything else other than it’s very disappointing. Cowboys Elliott all expected to leave here as NFC East champs. We’re not. We’ll just go to Washington.”

Quarterback Dak Prescott also expressed his disappointment after the game.

“Frustrating,” Prescott said. “Sat here after every game pretty much, win or lose, and said the good part about it is we control our own destiny. That’s gone. That’s out of our hands. And that’s unfortunate.

It’s very disappointing because we had the chance, right? We had the chance to control our destiny and be where we wanted to be. But now that it’s out of our hands, we’ve got to control what we can control, and that’s getting a win next week.”

“We’re too talented of a team and individuals to not make the plays, starting with myself,” Prescott said. “It’s disappointing. It’s frustrating, but we all take responsibility. It begins with me, and we’re too talented. We just didn’t execute the way that we’re capable of doing, and they did.”

Cowboys Elliott, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns last week, finished with 47 yards in the Cowboys loss and wasn’t happy with the team’s performance.

“Just pissed,” said Elliott. “Pissed we didn’t go out there and get it done.”

The Cowboys can still win the NFC East if they defeat the Washington Redskins and the Eagles lose to the Giants.
