Atlanta Falcons Analysis

The Falcons snapped a three game losing streak to AFC East opponents on Sunday when they defeated the New York Jets. However, they didn’t look very impressive against a team they were expected to beat easily, and honestly haven’t looked very good since their week 2 win against the Green Bay Packers.

With a tough division game ahead of them, the Falcons will need to be at their best offensively to have a chance against a Carolina defense that held the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to three points on the road.

Carolina Panthers Analysis

Like the Falcons, the Panthers have been very inconsistent this year. But, since they won only six games last year, expectations aren’t as high as they are for Atlanta.

Cam Newton has looked like an MVP candidate in some of Carolina’s wins this season, but has been a turnover machine at times as well, which has led to the team losing winnable games against the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears.

Their defense has also been very good this season, and has been responsible for a lot of their wins. However, their offense has left them carrying the bag when things aren’t going well, which has left the defense on the field for too long, and caused them to tire.

If Carolina’s offense plays well against the Falcons, their defense can help them seal the win.
