Today we find out what we’re working with. It’s time for Browns Giants preseason betting. Even though it is only the first game of the preseason, the Cleveland Browns will be trying to get their first win in over a year when they face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Thursday, August 9. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 PM. ET.

Cleveland Browns Analysis

The Browns aren’t expected to do much this season. However, don’t buy into the negativity surrounding the team. This is because they have a very talented roster. They could surprise a few teams this season. The Browns solidified their quarterback position by trading for Tyrod Taylor during the offseason. The team also started planning for the future by selecting Heisman winning quarterback Baker Mayfield with the first pick in the NFL Draft.

The Browns stayed busy during the offseason, adding Jarvis Landry from the Miami Dolphins to give Taylor an additional weapon on offense and someone to keep defenses honest and keep them from double teaming Josh Gordon. What can we expect from Browns Giants?

The Browns also added former Georgia running back Nick Chubb, who should give their running game a much needed boost. With Joe Thomas retiring during the offseason, the Browns have some work to do on the offensive line.

Defensively, the Browns are still a work in progress, but with talented players like Myles Garrett, Jabrill Peppers and Denzel Ward on defense, the Browns should be pretty decent this season.

New York Giants Analysis

The Giants finished with a 3-13 record last season, which was the second worst in the league, a year after finishing second to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. This season, the team will be trying to put last season’s struggles behind them and get back into the playoffs. The Browns Giants preseason game will be a must watch. Especially if you are taking part in preseason betting.

The Giants hired former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur as their head coach, and they are hoping he has the same type of success with Eli Manning that he did last season coaching Case Keenum.

The Giants used the second pick in the NFL Draft to select running back Saquon Barkley, who they are expecting to help improve their running game. Since Barkley is also a good pass catcher, he is expected to be involved in the passing game as well.

New York’s defense struggled last season, but the team is expecting a bounce back year for their defense if the offense can give them some time to rest after staying on the field too long in most of their games last season.

Odds: The Giants are favored to win the game by 2 points. The over/under on total points scored is 34.5.

Pick and Prediction

The Giants will keep most of their starters on the field while the Browns will keep some of theirs on the field, giving them the edge. Take Cleveland +2.
