Well, despite Richard Sherman and Erin Andrew’s interview on CNN on the Piers Morgan the betting odds for Super Bowl 48 haven’t changed in the Seattle Seahawks favor. On the contrary, opening betting odds opened up at -1 for the Denver Broncos last Sunday after the conference championship games.

Broncos Superbowl Betting

The Topbet Sportsbook had Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos opening line at -1 point, then mid-week it shifted to -2.5 points, and now just 7 days before the big game the Broncos are sitting at -3 point favorites for Super Bowl 2014 next Sunday, February 2nd, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Current weather predictions for Superbowl 48 are expected to be minus 20. Peyton Manning has not had much success in cold weather games, with a record of 0-4 in games where the weather reached -40 or worse. Although the weather does not expect to hit -40, it will be cold which favors defense. If the Seattle Seahawks are known for anything, it is the Legion of Boom. Between Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas, the Seattle Seahawks are a force to be reckoned with.

If you wanted to bet on the Seattle Seahawks to win Super Bowl XLVIII straight up the Moneyline is sitting at +115 betting odds. A review of the current Super Bowl betting odds will tell you that current public opinion is divided. The Game Total is sitting at Over/Under 47 points which means this will not be a high scoring affair. Percy Harvin is expected to play in Super Bowl 48 despite getting knocked out of the NFC Championship game with a concussion. Nobody knows for sure of just what capacity Percy Harvin will play in, but it is another weapon that the Broncos defense must prepare for going into this week.

Rest assured, neither the Denver Broncos or Seattle Seahawks will be watching today’s Pro Bowl game, but will be focusing on their preparation with less than 7 days left before the biggest game of the NFL season.
