Dolphins Vs Bears Preseason

Updated NFL Preseason Week 1 odds between the Dolphins Vs Bears. The Miami Dolphins will be trying to pick up their first preseason win when they face the Chicago Bears on Saturday afternoon. The game will be played at Soldier Field and is scheduled to begin at 1 PM. ET.

Miami Dolphins Analysis:

The Dolphins finished last season with a 10-6 record, but they failed to make the playoffs after getting edged out on tiebreakers.  What does this mean? They will try to build on last season’s success. Also, challenge Buffalo for the AFC East title.

Betting Odds Dolphins Vs Bears

Dolphins Vs Bears

Miami played well offensively last season, but they lost their leading passer, with Ryan Fitzpatrick signing with Washington in the offseason. Tua Tagovailoa, who was drafted to be their franchise quarterback, threw for 1,184 yards, 11 touchdowns. Also, five interceptions in 10 games. However, he was the subject of trade rumors during the offseason, which can’t be good for his confidence.

With the Dolphins drafting Jaylen Waddle with the sixth pick in the draft, Tagovailoa will have a target that can stretch the field.

Defensively, Miami gave up 21.1 points per game. They added a much needed edge rusher in Jaelan Phillips, who was taken with the 18th pick in the draft and they’re hoping he can help improve their pass defense.

Chicago Bears Analysis:

The Bears hoped the acquisition of Nick Foles last offseason would result in a playoff appearance. Unfortunately for the team, they went 8-8, which wasn’t good enough for a playoff spot. Put some money on the Bears at these top rated online sportsbooks for Super Bowl 2022.

Betting on Dolphins and Bears

They addressed their quarterback situation. This by drafting Justin Fields.  With the 11th pick in the draft. Even though they don’t plan to give him the starting job right away, expect him to see plenty of action in this game.

The Bears struggled defensively last season, giving up 23.1 points per game. They filled some of the holes they had in free agency, but they will need to play better on that end if they want to return to the playoffs.

Odds and Prediction:

The Bears are favored to win this game by 3.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 35.5.

The Bears gave up a lot of points last season and their defense is still a cause for concern. Even though Tagovailoa won’t play in this game, Jacoby Brissett, who has a lot of experience as a starter will get some action and I’m more confident in him than I am in Fields, so go with the Dolphins to cover the spread.
