Do the Rams have another Nick Foles in Jared Goff? LA Rams Super Bowl betting update next. Last season, Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles led the team on an improbable run to the Super Bowl, defeating five-time champions Tom Brady and the New England Patriots to win the franchise’s first Super Bowl.

This year, the Los Angeles Rams are hoping third-year quarterback Jared Goff can lead them to a Super Bowl win over the Patriots, who will be trying to bounce back from their loss to the Eagles and tie the Pittsburgh Steelers with six Super Bowl wins.

Goff put up solid numbers during the regular season, completing 64.9 percent of his passes for 4,688 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. However, he has put up pedestrian number in the playoffs, completing 58.8 percent of his passes for 483 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

By comparison, Foles had completed 77 percent of his passes for 598 yards and three touchdowns through his first two playoff games las year.

The good news for the Rams and their fans is the team doesn’t need Goff to be Foles to win the Super Bowl because they have a very talented team that was put together with the sole purpose of winning the Super Bowl in mind.

Offseason acquisitions Ndamukong Suh and Aqib Talib have stepped up during the playoffs and Aaron Donald continues to dominate offensive linemen. The fact that they held one of the best offenses in the league to 23 points on the road will also give them some confidence going into the Super Bowl.

The Rams offense hasn’t played as well as they did during the regular season. Todd Gurley struggled against the Saints and leading to limited playing time in the win. C.J. Anderson continues to play well so the Rams are confident they will be able to move the ball on the ground.

To win the Super Bowl, the Rams won’t need Goff to be at his best, but they will need him to protect the ball and help the team move the chains against the Patriots.
