In NFL Week 17 MVP Lamar Jackson will not be playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Do not start Lamar Jackson!

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be trying to secure a spot in the playoffs. This with a win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at M&T Bank Stadium and is scheduled to begin at 4:35 PM. ET.

The Steelers missed out on a chance to clinch a playoff berth. This after losing to the Jets on Sunday. Fortunately for the team, they still have a chance to clinch the final playoff spot in the AFC. This with a win over the Ravens this week, but they will also need the Tennessee Titans to lose to the Houston Texans, who clinched the AFC South title on Saturday and will likely rest some of their key players.

Pittsburgh will be short-handed going into this game. Running back James Conner, quarterback Mason Rudolph, who temporarily replaced Devlin Hodges under center, and center Maurkice Pouncey all left their game against the Jets with injuries and could miss this game. Do the Steelers have enough man power.

Despite their injuries, the Steelers played well defensively. Also, will need their defense to help them get the win over the Ravens.

The Ravens clinched the top seed in the AFC with their win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, which was their 11th consecutive win. However, the win came at a cost as running back Mark Ingram had to leave the game with a calf injury.

According to initial reports, Ingram’s injury was a calf sprain. However, he will have an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury. The good news for the Ravens and their fans is Ingram will have two weeks to recover if it isn’t too serious.

With the Ingram injury and the fact that they have already clinched the top spot in the AFC, the Ravens will likely rest players like Lamar Jackson. Also, other key starters to avoid another injury per reports.

Can the Ravens beat the Steelers without MVP Lamar Jackson?

The Ravens are favored to win this game by three points. The over/under on total points scored is 41.5.

Baltimore has clearly been the better team this season. However, this is a rivalry game and the Steelers desperately need a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. With the Ravens also likely to rest their starters, Pittsburgh +3 makes the most sense.
