Ben Roethlisberger Blames Himself After Steelers Loss To Baltimore

Ben Roethlisberger is not having it. The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered their second loss of the season on Sunday. However, this loss hurt more because it came against the biggest rivals. The loss also knocked the Steelers into a tie at the bottom of the division. A tie with the Cleveland Browns, who have an identical record.

After the game, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took responsibility for the team’s struggles.

“I’m not on the same page with anybody right now,” Roethlisberger said when asked whether he’s on the same page with star receiver Antonio Brown.

Even though he finished the game completing 27-of-47 passes for 274 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, Roethlisberger only managed 50 yards in the second half.

Ben Roethlisberger Steelers Week 5

“I’m not playing well enough,” Ben Roethlisberger said. “I need to play better. Today was just a bad day at the office. I promise I’ll be back to play better.”

Through the first three games of the season, Roethlisberger threw for 1,140 yards, which was the most he ever had to start the season. However, he has been forced to throw more this year due to the absence of Le’Veon Bell, who has missed the team’s first four games this season holding out for a long-term deal from the Steelers.

Despite the team struggling to run the ball, the Steelers seem to be content with James Conner as their starting running back, after announcing they would listen to offers for Bell. In Bell’s absence, Conner has 232 yards and three touchdowns on 63 carries. He also has 18 receptions for 164 yards.

Since the Steelers announced that Bell was available via trade, they have received several offers from interested teams, but they seem to be content with taking their time and waiting for better offers.

In conclusion, Ben Roethlisberger needs to step it up in NFL Week 5.
