NFC Conference Championship Preview

A team from the NFC conference may have a better chance to win the Superbowl if you look at stats such as power rankings. When you couple that knowledge with what sports analysts have to add, it seems as if the NFC conference may have more Super Bowl contenders than the AFC conference.

Sports books may have a different opinion. In fact, when you look at the odds that sports books have posted, you’ll see that the top 5 teams in terms of betting odds are the Seahawks, Broncos, Bengals, Chargers, and 49ers. Only 2 of the 5 teams are from the NFC conference. However, when you look at the bottom 5 of the top 10 teams in terms of 2015 Super Bowl online betting odds, the Packers, Patriots, Lions, Colts and Eagles are listed.

The Seahawks are the cream of the crop in the NFC championship conference and the team doesn’t look like they’ve missed a beat. While it’s still early in the season, the Seahawks are the overall favorite team in the NFL to win the Super Bowl with betting odds at 9/2 currently. While the 49ers are 2nd in term of betting odds, it is important to note that the NFC west is probably the most competitive division in football and the leaders of that division are the Arizona Cardinals. While many think the Cardinals have had a few lucky breaks, an old proverb says that it is better to be lucky than good and the same holds true for the NFL.
