As Tom Brady quickly approaches 40, some sports analysts are beginning to wonder if he is indeed the best quarterback that has ever played the game.
Tom Brady already holds the record for the most Super Bowl starts at quarterback in the history of the NFL. In Super Bowl 51, Tom Brady will make his 7th overall Super Bowl start. Going into Super Bowl 51, Tom Brady is 4-2. This ties him with Super Bowl greats such as Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw.
If Tom Brady is able to defeat the Atlanta Falcons, he will be the only quarterback with 5 Super Bowl wins. Without a doubt, if Tom Brady is able to win 5 Super Bowl rings, he will likely be regarded as the best quarterback to ever play the game.

Currently, the only quarterbacks who even remotely have a shot at defeating Tom Brady’s record are Russell Wilson, Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger. That being said, each of these quarterbacks have an uphill climb in terms of reaching Brady’s achievements.

When you take in the totality of Tom Brady’s achievements, it’s easy to see that Tom Brady will likely be regarded as the best quarterback in history. If he is able to secure the win for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI, Tom Brady will cement his already legendary status as the greatest quarterback to ever play the game.
