With their running backs hit with various injuries last season, the 49ers added more depth to the position by signing Tevin Coleman, who played for head coach Kyle Shanahan when he was the offensive coordinator with the Atlanta Falcons.

With tight end George Kittle having a breakout rookie season, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will have a reliable target to throw to next season.  Secondly, 49ers Super Bowl odds have already shifted going into Week 2. They also brought in Jordan Matthews to give them some veteran leadership at the wide receiver position, where they are still weak. If Garoppolo, who missed most of last season, can stay healthy this season, the 49ers should also have a good offense, which will make them a very dangerous team, for instance.
